The Apni Zameen Apna Ghar Scheme is a new housing project by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. It started to help poor people and homeless families in Punjab. This scheme is part of the Housing for All plan. It gives free 3-marla plots to low-income people. It also gives loans without interest so people can build their own homes. As of May 17 2025 the scheme is growing fast.
The first phase of this scheme has already begun. It includes 1892 free plots. Each plot is 675 square feet. These plots are part of 23 housing schemes in 19 districts of Punjab. The Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) is managing everything. The balloting process has started. Results will come at the end of May 2025.
More than 33500 people will get loans without any interest. These loans can be up to Rs 1.5 million. People have to return the loan in Rs 14000 per month. The full return time is seven years. The government is building 34000 houses. Already 2000 houses are ready in just six months. The plan is to build 100000 homes in four and a half years.

🔹 Eligibility Criteria
You must live in Punjab. You must have a Punjab CNIC. You must not own any house or plot in Pakistan. Your income should be below Rs 50000 per month. You should be registered with NSER. If your PMT score is 60 or less you get preference.
People who are widows orphans disabled or laborers will be given priority.
