The Honhaar Scholarship Program started in September 2024. In 2025 this program is now available for more students. It supports students from third to eighth semesters of BS programs and from second to fifth year of MBBS or BDS programs. The program gives full tuition fee coverage. It also offers many extra benefits. The total budget for 2025 is PKR 7 billion. The program plans to invest PKR 130 billion over 8 years. It aims to provide 50000 scholarships every year.
The last date to apply for Phase 2 is 20 May 2025.
This program is managed by Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) and Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). It pays 100 percent tuition fees for students studying in 68 different fields. It covers students from 50 public universities. It also covers 16 medical and dental colleges. Students from 131 HED colleges are included too. It supports students from top private universities like LUMS FAST COMSATS NUST GIKI.
In the beginning the program was for 30000 students. In 2025 it increased to 50000 students.
This program is now open to students from other provinces also. This includes students from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sindh Balochistan Azad Jammu and Kashmir Gilgit-Baltistan. It gives special focus to girls and minorities. In Phase 1 more than 68000 students applied. Out of those 29000 students were selected. Phase 2 will support more deserving students.

🎁 New Benefits in 2025
Students can apply for free laptops under CM Punjab Laptop Scheme. Total 110000 laptops will be given in 2025. For this benefit students must have at least 65 percent marks.
Students can also apply for CM Punjab Internship Program. It offers 1000 internships. Each student will get a monthly stipend of PKR 60000.
Students will also receive mentorship. They will get career guidance. They can use online learning resources through their universities.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
To apply for this scholarship students must meet some rules:
- Must have domicile of Punjab or other provinces like KPK Sindh Balochistan AJK Gilgit-Baltistan.
- Age must not be more than 22 years on closing date. Some age relaxation is allowed for MBBS or BDS students.
- Family income must be below PKR 300000 per month. Students must show an affidavit.
- Must be a regular student in 3rd to 8th semester of BS or 2nd to 5th year of MBBS BDS.
- New MBBS BDS students from 2024 are also allowed.
- Academic Marks Required:
- Medical Colleges and Top Private Universities – At least 80 percent in FSc Intermediate.
- Public Universities – At least 70 percent for science fields or 65 percent for arts fields.
- HED Colleges – At least 65 percent for science and 60 percent for arts.
- Students must have 60 percent marks in current semester exams.

- Students getting other government scholarships for tuition fees are not allowed. Partial scholarships like hostel fee support may be accepted.
